Until further data will elucidate discordant tuberculin skin test/QuantiFERON®-TB Gold in-tube results, a strategy of simultaneous tuberculin skin and QuantiFERON®-TB Gold in-tube testing in a low prevalence bacillus Calmette–Guérin vaccinated population, should maximise potentials of latent tuberculosis diagnosis.
